Policy

The Type of Athlete We are Looking for:
1.    He must be a good citizen in school and community. This is most important,
less than this will not be tolerated.
2.    He should be a good student
3.    He must be dedicated to the game of football.
4.    He must have the desire to excel and to win.
5.    He must be tough mentally and physically
6.    He must be willing to make person sacrifices
7.    He must put team glory first in place of self glorification.
8.    He must be a leader of men both on and off the field.

Football games are won by the team that does the “LITTLE THINGS BEST.”
Little things like being on time for meetings, making practice like games situations, taking pride in yourself, your teammates, your team, and your school.  Each player must do his job until it becomes a habit. Each must make second efforts a part of his personality, sprinting on kickoff returns, busting a guy to get that extra yard, knowing what it takes to be a winner and willing to pay the price.

We must take pride doing the “LITTLE THINGS BEST”

Here is how you become a CHAMPION:
1.    With good head work
(The team that makes the fewest mistakes always wins.)
2.    With good Team Work
3.    With good hard work
(It takes work to be good, and if we aren’t good we have only ourselves to blame.)

WILL YOU BE ON A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM? YOU ARE THE ANSWER!
This is your team, WIN or LOSE!

QUITTERS NEVER WIN — WINNERS NEVER QUIT

Think Like a Winner!
What are the traits that make one man a winner and another man a loser?
The big difference is in how a man thinks. His attitude will govern his actions

For Instance-
A winner is always ready to tackle something new… a loser is prone to believe it can’t be done
A winner isn’t afraid of competition… a loser excuses himself with the idea that the competition
beat him out
A winner knows he’s sometimes wrong and is willing to admit his mistake… a loser can usually
find someone to blame.
A winner is challenged by a new problem… a loser doesn’t want to face it.
A winner is decisive … a loser frustrates himself with indecision.
A winner realizes there is no time like the present to get a job done… a loser is prone to
procrastinate with the hope that things will be better tomorrow.
A winner thinks positively… acts positively… and lives positively… a loser usually has a
negative attitude and a negative approach to everything.

It is your attitude not your aptitude that will determine your altitude.

If you want to be a winner, think like a winner… act like a winner and sooner than you think you will be a winner.

A man once said “the harder I work, the luckier I get, and I seem to be in the right place at the right time.” What the above means to me is that you make your own breaks; you don’t sit around and cry in your soup. We have a great challenge ahead of us in the schedule we play. We will need great leadership from our senior and loyalty among each other. If, we work hard together, we will be together, and the luckier we will get.

Principles to Play By
1.    Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The golden rule is the greatest rule ever
set down for mankind.
2.    Be the best. In whatever you do strive to be the best- to do it better than it’s ever been done
before. This is how we grow.
3.    You will get out of anything exactly what you put in it. No more, no less, and you will reap
what you sow.
4.    Work smart. It isn’t the hours you put in… It is what you put in the hours that count.
5.    Pride in anything you do. It has your personal signature on it.
6.    If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right. If it isn’t worth doing right then it isn’t worth doing.
7.    Do it NOW – NOW spelled backward is WON. Don’t put things off.
8.    First things first – do things in order of importance
9.    Don’t worry about mistakes, everyone makes them. Figure out what you did wrong and do it
right the next time.
10.  Don’t make the same mistake twice. An old Chinese proverb says “to make a mistake is one
mistake; to fail to correct it is two mistakes.” He who does not know the past, is condemned
to repeat it in the future
11.  One should leave the world, place or job better off than when he found it. Better off for his
having been there.
12.  Loyalty- if you work for a man in heaven’s name work for him.
Speak well of him and stand by the institution which he repre sents.
13.  Look sharp, act sharp and be sharp.
14.  Look for the GOOD in your peers and in your Coaches. We only see what we look for.
