Forms: All athletes need to complete the required SMSD Athletic Participation Packet, Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form, and the new District Concussion Release Form. All three of these documents must be completed and turned in to Gayle O’Grady in the SMSD office prior to the first day of practice (8/15).
Senior Program: The senior players chose “All In” as the theme for the upcoming season. In a few weeks a questionnaire will be sent out to all seniors for their profile in the football program. You will be asked to provide 3-4 pictures to be included in the program so start going through your old photos.
Spirit Wear: We have some great new Spirit Wear that will be for sale at many events that kick off the start of the school year. It will also be sold at all home games.

JOIN Lancer Gridiron Club and Support Your SME Football Teams!
The Lancer Gridiron Club was founded to support and promote the Shawnee Mission East football program and all high school Lancer football players and coaches. Our organization is open to anyone in the community; parents, alumni, and businesses. Our goal is to provide year-round support to ensure that the program is successful in creating a winning football environment for the players, coaches, students, parents, and fans in the SME community.If you haven’t done so already, please join the Lancer Gridiron Club ($50.00 individual or $100 family membership) and contributing to the Player Food Fund (Recommendation: $180 for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior players). Items covered by the player food fee may include the nutritious dinners prior to games, snacks and after-game food for away games and breakfast during Saturday morning film review throughout the season. Since the Freshman teams have seperate team dinners, we recommend a donation of only $25 to help pay for the extras provided during the season. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated and 100% of the donations benefit the team. Schedule August 15 is the first official practice of the season. All players will be required to have a Physical and a completed Athletic Participation Packet on file with the SME Athletic Director in order to participate.
